In this piece Master Nakajima
depicts the Japanese character for moon. Using soft colors and gentle
brush strokes Master Nakajima makes the character for moon appear as a
reflection on the water. This is a true example of contemporary SHO
art.
This work was done with Sumi ink
on paper and mounted onto a scroll format. There are three suggested
ways of displaying a piece such as this. The first is hung as it is
shown in the pictures below without any framing. Second, a custom
frame can be made for this piece in which the piece hangs inside of.
Thrid option is to dismount the painting from the wood bars and frame
the piece in a standard frame set. Please feel free to contact Japan
